Paul Walker was born on 12 September 1973 in Glendale, California. Developing a love for the camera at a young age, Paul modelled and acted in television shows including Charles in Charge while still at school. In 1986, the young actor made his film debut in horror spoof Monster in the Closet, but he continued to pursue his education and attended several community colleges while majoring in his second love, marine biology. However, the year 1993 proved to be a turning point in Walker’s career when he was offered a role in hit comedy Meet the Deedles. Despite his love for marine biology, Walker turned his back on his college courses and committed to acting as a full-time career.
Walker demonstrated his depth once more when he took a starring role in 2006 mafia crime thriller Running Scared. Speaking about his work with Walker, Running Scared director Wayne Kramer stated that he “loved working with [Walker] because as a director he’s completely supportive of my vision of what the film is. And even better, he’s completely game for it.” Walker subsequently reprised his role in The Fast and the Furious franchise in 2009 sequel Fast & Furious, which once again cemented his name in the Hollywood elite and led to a leading role in crime drama Takers, which was released in August the following year.
